E. Andrew “Andy” Johnson is a shareholder in the Firm. He is a Tulsa native and has served in numerous volunteer positions throughout the community. Andy graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. He previously practiced in public accounting with Ernst & Young, LLP. Andy earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Oklahoma, where he served as an Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. In law school, he won the American Jurisprudence Award in Estate Planning. Andy has served as Chairman of the Tax Section and the Corporate and Business Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He holds the prestigious “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible nationally recognized rating for an attorney.
Andy’s primary practice areas include corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiating and drafting, oil and gas, and estate planning and probate. He serves as general corporate counsel for a number of local closely held companies. Andy also has a broad range of experience assisting clients with estate planning matters. While he has assisted with relatively simple matters such as drafting wills and revocable trusts, he has also counseled families on much more complicated matters, such as generational planning involving family owned businesses and large trusts.
